ABOUT ME
I began as an artist in school drawing on everything,; books, shoes, walls., you name it. My parents were brave enough to let me paint a mural on my ceilng at 12. It seemed like a natural progression to go to art school. I attended Moore College of art and eventually transferred to the Art Institute of Atlanta where I received my degree in Fashion Illustration. My life took many twists and turns and I never did work in the art field.
I spent 17 years chasing criminals in private security and Investigations. but thats a story for another day. In 1998 I no longer had to race around looking for bad guys.
I finally had the opportunity to pursue art again in 2001. I took pottery classes at Earth Center for the arts at Tyler Park, Pa. I had loved pottery in art school but knew that would be a hard way to make a living. So now I had the opportunity to do it for fun.
I spent 4 years working at that studio and loved getting my hands in the Mud. I wanted to spend more time working and knew I would have to have my own space.
I decided I would like to set up my own studio. In 2005 I set up at home with a wheel and by 2007 had prgressed to my own kiln.
Having my own space allows me to explore my creative process at my own place.

These Salt cellars are not glazed on the inside. The unglazed clay absorbs the moisture in the air, such as next to your stove or outside on the picinic table,. This allows the salt to stay dry.
